My Heart Hurts :(

It's now been 3 full days since Maggie vanished. For those of you that don't know who that is...it's a long story, but to make a long story short, Maggie is a "rescue dog", adopted from the St. George Animal Shelter by my daughter's boyfriend. She had been abused and neglected by her former owners, and she is a sweet soul that has had some tough times in life. He had to move to a place where he could not have her, so we took her in....she was not a planned addition to our family, but she came to us none the less. She has been my sidekick ever since, following me everywhere I go. She sleeps in a bed next to my bed, and during the day, she is with me in my home office on her special blanket and she goes with me when I take Brandee to school each morning. Where I go, Maggie goes. Me and Mags connected and I often found myself peeking over the bed at night, right before I dozed off, to look at her all curled up in her comfy bed next to mine. Due to her previous treatment, she sometimes acted out towards our other dog, Ruben, but at the same time she idolized him and was often found sleeping right next to him. She was finally feeling safe and secure and settling in to her new family. She has made all of us feel so special every single day. She does not just wag her tail when we get home, she wiggles and wags her entire body and soul! It was such a great feeling to come home and see Maggie and Ruben in the front window, sharing the couch, waiting for their humans to walk through the door.
Monday morning, I could not find my keys so I had to take Jeff's truck to take Brandee to school, so I did not take Maggie. She was in the house with Ruben when I left. 30 minutes later when I returned, she was gone, and we have not seen her since. We have put up nearly 100 flyers around the neighborhood, but most of them are gone every day...between the city and various boneheads around the area, it's hard to keep them posted. But, every night we go hang up flyers, hoping someone has seen her or knows who has her.
Anywho....I am just sick about losing her. I am hoping that she is not cold and alone-I am pretty sure that someone picked her up though..but that brings on other worries...what if they are not being nice to her? Lil' Maggie would just shake and cower if we had to get after her for something....I just hope someone is not being mean to her. That little girl is my "wingman" and I will do whatever it takes to bring her home... I just hope it is enough to get her here!
FYI, Maggie is a Shar Pei, 2 years old, female..she is tan/fawn colored with a darker streak from the top of her head to her tail. She SOOOOOOOOO does the moonwalk after she potties...funny stuff. We found her collar in our yard, so she is without that. Please say a little prayer for her, so that she can come home!
