......server swap began on Friday...my compadre Dustin did the initial setup and install....then it wsas up to me to iron out all the "wrinkles". OH MY %$^! what a rollercoaster ride it has been! New server went live on Sunday night, and I have since put in about 50-60 hours tweaking and fixing things.. Thank goodness for overtime this week, as I am being blessed with an otherwise non-existant thing! I still have a lot of work to do to get the last small details ironed out, but thankfully, after many late nights this week, we are up and running and running FAST! The new server could run circles around the old one....this will be SUCH a benefit to us! Thank goodness for Dustin and Shelley-nothing like some support when trying to figure things out! All in all, how ever exhausting this week has been, I am so grateful for yet another chance to LEARN even MORE about my passion in life....technology and all things related! Once I get about 8 hours of sleep, IN A ROW, I will be great and ready for the next hurdle! Technology is beautiful...how ever painful it can be, it turns out to be simply wonderful. :) Oh happy day....after a week of fighting, the new server and I are beginning to understand eachother....AND now that my Blackberry has been recomissioned into the network, I feel complete! TIRED and OVERWHELMED, but complete. Life is good in times like these. I am exhausted beyond imagination, yet I am excited for all the changes before us with this new hardware upgrade. This will move our sweet lil' non-profit up a notch, and enable us to work even harder!
Night Night....this geek is tired.
